The College & Career Readiness Department proudly hosted the Fall 2024 Career & Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Committee Meeting at Port Isabel Early College High School. This gathering brought together students, CTE teachers, and business and industry partners to foster meaningful connections and enhance our CTE programs. Following productive and reflective discussions on industry needs, students presented their findings through engaging presentations that showcased their insights and highlighted the dedication of our CTE teachers. This meeting reaffirmed Point Isabel ISD's commitment to aligning CTE programs with industry standards and equipping students with career-ready skills.

We're thrilled about this amazing partnership with United Way and the "VITA Preparation Day" training! Through it, we'll be offering certifications to our students as Certified Tax Preparers, giving them the chance to put their skills to work during our ACE program.   Keep an eye out for our ACE VITA Tax services launching this spring- ready to help with all your tax needs!   A huge shoutout to Ms. Reyes, Ms. Zermeno, and Mr. Barrera for being such outstanding representatives of our district and for everything they do for our students!
