Mission

The Music Department of Point Isabel ISD is dedicated to delivering high-quality Music Education to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Every elementary student receives one weekly general music class led by a certified music specialist. Upon reaching 6th grade, students are given the opportunity to select from band, orchestra, or choir. These choices remain available to them until their 12th-grade year. The instructors for Middle School and High School band, choir, and mariachi possess appropriate certifications and specialized expertise in their respective fields of teaching.

We take immense pride in our exceptional music department, which has garnered prestigious awards. Apart from participating in TMEA and UIL events annually, our ensembles also engage in competitive activities at the Region, Area, State, National, and even International levels. Point Isabel ISD consistently achieves remarkable outcomes each year. These accomplishments underscore the excellence of the music instruction offered in our schools, as well as the remarkable talents and dedication exhibited by our students
